CentrePort have announced the appointment of Vanessa James as a Board Director

CentrePort have announced the appointment of Vanessa James as a Board Director following a Director search by Baxter Executive Search. Vanessa joins CentrePort after living abroad in the US and Canada for many years, working for Methanex, the world’s largest producer and supplier of Methanol. Vanessa rose to become Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Sustainability at Methanex. She was a director of Methanex NZ and Board Member of the Methanol Institute as well as holding other governance roles over the past decade. She brings complementary knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure and logistics industry. She also understands the critical elements of health and safety and sustainability.

Vanessa has recently returned to New Zealand after relocating to Vancouver in 2018.

She joins the Board from 1 February 2025.
